StrADDegy – Developing addition strategies – Ages 7–9

Each activity is set out in three parts:

• an introduction or ‘warm up’;
• the activity or ‘work out’; and
• the summary or ‘cool down’.

Teachers are also given a detailed ‘Materials list’ and suggestions are made as to the most appropriate student grouping for the activity, as an aid to classroom organisation. There is also a collection of generic maths resources at the back of the book, these are available for teachers to photocopy and use where appropriate.
