National Science Week 2022

National Science Week 2022

Happy National Science Week everyone! Now is the time to inspire your budding scientists. This year’s theme is ‘Glass: more than meets the eye’.

Commencing on 13 August, National Science Week celebrates science and technology, highlighting the important role science education plays in the classroom, including providing students with the relevant skills to develop their understanding of science concepts and learning.

We believe that it is crucial for all students to learn the importance of exercising these practical science skills. While this should be done all year, National Science Week is a great opportunity to get your students involved in exciting science activities. To help, we are giving you a sample pack from Australian Curriculum Science.

Australian Curriculum Science contains hands-on activities, which are predominately experiments. All levels use science literacy texts to introduce and explain science concepts. It can be integrated easily into any primary science program, giving students the opportunity to enhance their knowledge of the world around them and participate in fun learning with their peers, making science interesting and exciting!

Learning concepts are tailored to each specific year group to ensure all activities are best suited to the needs of students of all ages.

This series encourages curiosity and assists students with developing their interest of the science curriculum, with activities to consolidate the learning.

Enjoy National Science Week and have fun with these free activities, downloadable here:
